Teagan has been asking for a pet. She really wants a dog and I would get her a cat in a minute but all Vaun would agree to is a fish. We went to Petland and let Teagan choose a Betta fish. She then choose the coloured rocks and also a bowl. She made very good choices. On the way home we chose a name. She wanted to name him Milt after our next door neighbour but we thought that wasn't such a good choice. After some discussion his name is Marty. Teagan says he is a good fish. She has him in her room for now but that may change as she already asked if he could have a cookie. When I told her fish do not eat human food she gentle broke the news to Marty.

Betta fish are really smart, you can train them to do tricks and come when you call their name. There is a betta fish at our library named Reader. Amy says she really likes Reader and thinks it is good that Teagan has a pet now. Debbie
