Float Your Boat

It was such a nice day we just had to play outside. We put on our rubber boots and walked to the park. We played for an hour, piling up rocks, throwing snowballs and Teagan got soaked on the swing and slide.
We noticed the water rushing down the gutter and I got the idea of building paper boats to race down the little river. Sadly, I had to Google how to make a paper boat. Thank goodness for the internet and not a trip to local library to figure that one out.

Well, the paper boats got wet so we upgraded to Popsicle stick boats. Mine didn't float too well, so we went back for a redesign and attached some corks. Well our little river was no longer rushing and the water was too shallow for our now big boats. We came inside so Teagan could float them in the sink.
My brother stopped in for supper and I asked him if he did such things with his kids. Of course he does!! We figured it was our dad in us that caused us to look for fun in everyday things and to build and redesign things to make them bigger and better. And did you see how beautiful those boats were! Well, that is all my Mom. Make is pretty with stickers and glitter. Jeff and I were so lucky to have such great role models who helped us become such great parents to our kids. Fun everyday!! Thanks Mom and Dad!!
