Kindergarten Celebration of Success

This afternoon Vaun and I went to Teagan's school for the Kindergarten Celebration of Success. When the children came into the gym they came and sat with their parents and showed them their scrapbook, journal and other work that they had done this past school year. Then the children did two chants, the St. Clare chant and an Alphabet chant. Then we watched a power point presentation that showed pictures of all of the activities the students had done throughout the year. It was easy to pick Teagan out in the pictures. Then the students sang two songs. One was a washing hands song and then they sang Hail Mary. Ms. Le Clair, the principal gave a short talk and then refreshments were served. All of the students got a balloon. Vaun was able to get a purple one for Teagan. Then the students ran around with there friends. Vaun went home and I ended up helping to stack chairs in the gym.
When we got home we opened an envelope that the teacher had marked open at home. Inside was a gifts from her teacher, her certificate, report card and some ticker tape. I tried to throw the ticker tape but it misfired.

Teagan with Mrs. Lippert and Mrs. Guzman. These were the assistants in the class. Teagan just loved these two ladies.

Teagan with her teacher Mrs. Skytt-Schmidt. Teagan is standing on the bleacher and her teacher is on the floor.

Teagan was very proud to show us her work and we are so very proud of her. She has been reading and writing and we will keep practicing over the summer. Teagan loves writing and is always sounding out words and printing them. It has all clicked for her and she is ready for Grade One.
