Halloween Hyper

Teagan was still awake last night at 10 pm, too excited about Halloween to sleep.
Then she was up this morning at 6:20 am, wired and bouncing off the walls. To add to the excitement it was also snowing. It was our first snowfall of the season and she was beyond excited. We had spent some extra time decorating the house so this must have added to the anticipation of the candy holiday.
I began to feel sorry for her teacher and then thought of what awaits me at my school. My kids were pretty mellow compared to our daughter.
At 5:40 pm we headed out to trick-or-treat. Milt's was our first stop where she got two big handfuls of candy. Then we went to Esme's and then Rose's. We stopped by Hailey's house and then went to Alyssa's. Teagan and Alyssa had planned to trick or treat together last week. Teagan had been invited to go with other kids but she was excited to go with her best friend Alyssa.
I was glad I had talked Teagan into taking a pillowcase for a treat bag as most houses were giving out handfuls of candy this year. The girls were both witches and Emerson was a knight. We went around Michelle's street and then headed out to the main road. The kids went hard for over an hour and then we decided to call it a night.
When we got home Teagan handed out candy and sorted her own. We have hardly any treats left but Teagan has enough to last her a year!! She only gets thirty days to eat it and then it has to be gone to make way for her Christmas countdown.
Happy Halloween!!!
