Pancakes on Sundays

Every Sunday we make pancakes for breakfast. Teagan has caught on quickly to this family ritual. She knows where the flour is and that it is the first ingredient to go in the special pancake making bowl. She likes to stick her hand in the bowl and feel the flour. She has tasted it on occasion. This week Teagan even grabbed the correct cookbook out for mommy, who never seems to remember the recipe. I always let her carry the egg from the fridge to the counter. This week she got a little excited and ran to show daddy. She fell back on to her bum and the egg flew against the cupboard. Our first ever egg causality. Teagan always wants to flip the pancakes but settles for her own spatula instead. Her pancake is always done first and set to cool. I made silver dollar pancakes once but some little one doesn't have enough patience to wait for them yet. A little syrup and she is good to go.
