Two Weeks to Christmas

We celebrated an early Christmas today as we will be flying to Saskatchewan to spend Christmas at Mom and Dad's. We both got up with Teagan and brought her downstairs. It took her a few moments to find something new in the livingroom. When she spotted her new kitchen she looked at us and babbled away as if to say "what is this?", "Where did this come from?". Then she proceeded to bring me each and every item so I could see what she had found. So the rest of the day she made coffee, filled cups with water, tasted food, washed dishes and rearranged cupboards. She brought Vaun and I cups and poured us coffee while we ate supper. She finished her supper quickly so she could get back to playing. Vaun and I wonder if at almost 19 months she should have such a big imagination.

Then this afternoon we went to a kid's Christmas party at my school. It took a little bit for Teagan to warm up but then she was off and running around the gym. Santa came with presents for all the kids. Teagan didn't want to get too close to him so mommy had to help retrieve her gift. A new tea set to go with her new kitchen. She wasn't too keen on anyone touching her new toys so we had to leave it with daddy for safe keeping while she played some more. It was a nice party with about 24 kids.

Tomorrow we are off to Vaun's cousins for brunch. Then we are picking up Dawn for the afternoon. Then we are going to see the lights at the Zoo.
