We happened across Peter Pan and Wendy Darling as we were strolling along. We were let in to line and then the line closed behind us. Teagan had no interest in seeing them but I coerced her into it. We realized later that the characters appear for a little while then they take a break and come back later. You have to catch them when they first appear or the line may close. Only the princesses and fairies have an indoor viewing space in Toontown at the Hall of Fame.
We caught the entire show of Dream Along With Mickey. The show begins with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy talking about dreams and Donald saying he doesn't believe in dreams. They ask the audience to yell out their dreams. Minnie dreams she was a princess. Then all the princesses appear with their princes and dance. Mickey asks Minnie to join him as they dance with the princesses. Minnie tells him she is not a princess. Mickey says "Minnie, you have always been a princess to me!!" I teared up!!
Then Goofy tells Donald his dream would be full of adventure. So they dress up as pirates. Then Captain Hook shows up followed by Peter Pan. The adventure ensues with a sword fight. Peter Pan tricks Hook.
Then Maleficent shows up to ruin the party she wasn't invited to and to turn all their dreams into nightmares. Donald stand up to her and the crowd joins in to defeat the evil sorceress. All is happy once again and Donald is now a believer in dreams. A very Disney happy ending!!
Teagan wanted so badly to drive these cars. We waited in line forever to get a chance to drive. The car was too hard to steer and was no fun at all.
We found an air conditioned indoor show to get out of the heat. The Laugh Floor is based on Monsters Inc. Mike has a comedy show trying to gain power for the city of Mostropolis. It is kind of cheesy but it got us cooled off so we could keep going.
This was Teagan's favourite part of day two, Aladdin's Magic carpet ride. It was a little like Dumbo but lines were shorter and the camels spit at you.
Teagan and I stood in line for over an hour to ride Splash Mountain. She loves this ride!! I like the story of Brer Rabbit that is told in the figures along the way.
We caught parts of this parade three different times during the day.
Teagan was much happier on the way back to the house today. We did some shopping and she got a few things for herself.
She bought this baby Simba and just loved taking care of him and looking after him. She had trouble getting to sleep most nights, too much excitement during the day. She mentioned a few nights how she missed her bed at home. We kept her on Alberta time as much as we could. She went to bed most nights well after her usual bedtime but she also slept in past her usual wake up time. The heat took a toll on her most days and we spent parts of days touring and left lots of time for swimming and relaxing.
