Christmas Trees

My mother has the ultimate Christmas house, full of trees, decorations, goodies to eat and an abundance of joy and love for all who enter the door. Teagan could not remember a Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house so we just had to go for Christmas this year. Teagan was amazed at all the decorations and lights but most of all all the Christmas trees. Ten trees in all!! Each decorated with a different theme in mind and covered in ornaments both homemade and bought. Some ornaments hold special memories of special friends and moments. It is a sight to see. It took mom over a week to put up all her decorations but it is worth it for the smiles on her grandchildren's faces.

This is the only real and living tree. It was dug up last fall and put into a pot so that Teagan could decorate it for Christmas. Teagan's strange smiling is showing she lost her second tooth on December 23rd. It was knocked out by the snow scoop when she was hauling wood for Grandpa's fireplace.

The Santa tree in the basement. Covered in Santa ornaments and red lights.

This tree in the family room has stockings with each member of our family's name on it.

This tree is covered in ribbon pinecones and is in one of the upstairs bedrooms.

This tree with purple lights is in Teagan's bedroom, my old room. Teagan left it on all night as a night light.

This angel tree is in mom and dad's room.

This tree is on the stairs and is covered in snowmen.

This is mom's blue tree in living room. It is the most traditional of all the Christmas trees.

This tree is also in the family room. It is covered in teddy bears. Dad always challenges the kids to count all the bears. No one knows how many there are.

This is my favourite tree. It is covered with cookie cutters, wooden spoons and gingerbread ornaments. My dad built this tree out of spare parts from other trees. It is very unique. I love gingerbread so that is why it is my favourite!!
