More Zoo

We toured through the Canadian wilds after the penguin plunge. We only saw five other people the whole way through the wilds. The highlight was watching the otters have lunch. We got glimpses of the otter and then the keeper came out and started throwing fish into the water. One otter came out and ate a mouthful of fish and then went into the enclosure and came out with the other three otters. They would dive and get a mouthful of fish and then come to the surface to eat them. When all the fish were gone two of the otters scanned the bottom of the pond looking for anything left behind. It was really neat to see.
After the tour through the wilds we went to the African and Rainforest areas. We then went to see the elephants and camels.
On the way back through the zoo Teagan wanted to stop and see if the butterflies had returned. Teagan had so much fun looking for the different kinds of butterflies that she didn't want to leave.
It was a very quiet day at the zoo and we enjoyed our visit very much.
