On Monday the weather didn't look like it would cooperate for outdoor adeventures so we went to the Science centre on the Sky train. Teagan had a ton of fun as she was allowed to touch everything she saw and push buttons. Daddy had fun showing her all the neat things. She loved driving the train (great grandpa Nemeth was smiling down). The crowd got a little overwhelming at times. We realized that we grew up in small town Saskatchewan and we live in the quiet suburbs of Calgary but we are not really "city" people. After we went for lunch and then went on the Seabus across to Lonsdale Quay. We found some fresh fruit and a cinnamon bun for Teagan. She found a place to play that was just too busy with kids so we headed back to the hotel for a late afternoon nap. Then we found a restaurant for supper. Teagan had her mac and cheese delivered in a pirate ship.
On Tuesday we had better weather so we went to the Vancouver Aquarium. We were the first in line as Teagan was up with the sun ready to go at 6 am. It was a good thing to be there early as we got to see the animals and the trainers working together. Teagan liked all the fish in the big tank. Then we got to see the dolphins, seals, beluga whales and the otters. When the place got crowded we headed out for a walk around Stanley Park. The weather was just gorgeous. When we found a playground Teagan just vibrated with excitement. When we got back to the hotel we had lunch and then put Teagan down for a nap. Boy did she sleep!! Then we walked down to the Harbour Look out but it was closed so we went for a walk down Robson street. People everywhere. So we went back to the hotel for a swim. We had trouble finding a place open for supper. It seems at 6pm everything closes downtown. At 9pm we were all in bed for the night.
Teagan was so looking forward to going on a bus. Everytime she sees a bus she yells "bus". We told her we would ride a bus on our vacation. If you asked her what we were going to do on our vacation she would say "bus". Well she got to ride on a plane, in a taxi, on the Sea bus, on the Sky train and on a bus. When we got off the bus she signed "more".
I just had to take a picture of Teagan in the green grass. We had left snow in Calgary and all of Vancouver was covered in spring blossoms. The trees had leaves, the grass was green and spring flowers were everywhere.
This morning we slept in. After breakfast we went back to Stanley Park and walked along the sea wall. The wind was a little cool but it was still nice out. Teagan didn't have a nap today so we put her to bed early. I think she was happy to be home.
Sorry spell check isn't working!!
