Mother's Day
The past few years we have celebrated Father's Day the weekend before to avoid the crowds at places we would like to go. This year we decided to start celebrating Mother's Day the weekend before also. So last Sunday, Vaun made brunch and then took Teagan and I to Costco to buy some flowers for the planters. Then we stopped at Mac's for a Slurpee. Teagan kept telling me that Vaun was taking us out for supper but that it was a surprise where we were going. When we got in the car at 4:00 to go for supper I knew it would be a bit of drive and when we started heading west I figured it was one of two places we were going. My first guess was right, Canmore. We wanted to eat at Aroma, a delicious Mexican restaurant but it was closed. So we wandered down the street with a starving girl whining all the way. We found a little pasta place and it turned out to be quite good, it ended the whining anyways. It was a beautiful drive out to Canmore on the old #1 highway. We saw lots of horses and at least five separate groups of mountain sheep. Not many pictures were taken as the drive was longer than expected and we did have that starving kid in the back seat.
