MS Walk

Today Teagan and I participated in the MS Walk. We had prepared all week by taking walks and riding our bikes every night after supper. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too warm. Vaun dropped us off at Eau Claire market and we walked across the bridge to Prince's Island. We got there just as the walk was starting and followed the thousands of walkers out onto the pathway. I felt sorry for people who were out for a bike ride as the walkers paid no attention to how much of the path they were taking up. At the 1km check point Teagan enjoyed a cookie and juice box. There were many dogs on the walk, some even wore T-shirts. Teagan got tired and we did find a place to sit for a minute or two. We kept a pretty good pace as there were so many people you just had to keep pace. When we crossed the finish line there were many volunteers cheering and clapping for the participants. Teagan wanted to get her face painted so we found the kids tent. Then we headed to the meeting place to wait for Vaun to pick us up. There was a field of geese on the walk back to the car. So many cute little babies too!! Teagan made sure I took lots of pictures. I think we will sign up again for next year's walk. Teagan did very well raising over $1200. She is looking forward to her prize for raising all that money. a Chapter's gift card and a trip to the spa!!
