Back to Work!!!

Back to work wasn't so bad. The days flew by. The students start next week which may make the days seem longer though. Got a lot accomplished as all my things were in boxes. The whole interior of the school was painted this summer and everyone had to pack everything from shelves and walls. I also moved into a new classroom that is wonderful. The room is huge and has so much storage. It is also much cooler, so no more 32 degrees on those hot days. The only draw back is I have no windows. I've spent a lot of time in there this last week and the no window things hasn't bothered me at all. I have 23 kids on my class list. Our school is growing. We have 5 Kindergarten classes and four of every grade except Grade 4 and Grade 5 which has three classes each and a 4/5 combined class. I left work today and they still had yet to hire a half time kindergarten teacher and a Grade 3 teacher. We are also only six students away from getting another teacher so that combined class could turn into two straight grades. I think this puts our school near 700 students from K-6. Yes they are looking at building another Catholic elementary school in Airdrie but not for at least three years.
