Codette Entertainment

Teagan found lots of fun and entertaining activities to do in Codette.

The garbage truck was a highlight as we had seen it by the senior's housing then had to rush home for a front row seat to watch it pick up grandma and grandpa's garbage.

Laundry basket fishing was invented by my brother Jeff and is nice to see it passed down to the younger generation. I think he used a metal measuring tape so it is nice to see that some improvements have been made to the game.

A cardboard box can always be a lot of fun but useful too as Teagan demonstrates her homeless girl sleeping bag.

Another pass time is watching the grater smooth out the gravel road. Can't see that in the big city.

The park at the old school is a little run down but brought back a lot of memories for me. Only one of the three teeter-totters is intacted. I do think this was Teagan's first ride on one as I don't remember seeing any at our parks in Calgary.

Teagan loved the merry go round. I'm sure it is over forty years old.

The slide doesn't have much slide left. Teagan stuck to the rust spots.

The monkey bars still work.

This old horse gave his last piggyback ride and then retired as the pig was getting to heavy to ride.

All kidding aside, I remember many great times in Codette as a kid growing up. We had room to run and play and use our imagination and invent our own games. It was great place to be a kid and it will forever be my home.
